JOB FUNCTIONS/ MAJOR TASKS
- Answer vendor, buyer, and carrier questions; field daily emails from the mail box.
- Monitors TMS on a consistent basis for non-tendered orders due to vendor error entry, and updates existing shipments per vendor requests.
- Schedule container deliveries and empty pick-ups.
- Audit carrier freight charges for accuracy against company's negotiated contracts.
- Acquire import paperwork, and utilize the paperwork to update database.
- Lead on developing transportation KPI reporting, such as, LTL and TL performance reporting, carrier acceptance, carrier score cards, quarterly transportation spend by mode by carrier, daily on-time pickups.
