RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER - Kitty Hawk Kites

Kitty Hawk Kites is a national adventure and retail operation primarily based in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Their mission is to be the leading company in adventure recreation and retailing by building a reputation for fun and excellence through customer service, quality, safety and value.

Kitty Hawk Kites is looking for a results-oriented candidate with excellent interpersonal skills for the position of Regional Manager. Responsible for setting regional goals such as sales estimates and revenue projections, ensuring that marketing efforts are consistent across each store, managing a regional budget, and ensuring that each store operates within the budget, among other duties.

RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Willing to execute on Company’s Vision, Mission, Purpose and Core Values
  • Recruiting, training, managing, scheduling, disciplining and coaching store managers
  • Working with buyers and corporate management to maximize merchandising opportunities
  • Ensuring operational efficiency in each store
  • Ensuring that marketing efforts are consistent across each store
  • Setting regional goals, such as sales estimates and revenue projections, and budgeting sales and payroll for each store
  • Ensuring that all stores adhere to company and industry regulations
  • Ensuring that all stores meet safety and cleanliness standards
  • Managing a regional budget and ensuring that each store operates within the budget
  • Monitoring each store’s P&L reports
  • Addressing operational problems that arise
  • Liaising retail stores with company headquarters
  • Ensuring that customer service levels are consistent across stores
  • Making recommendations to senior management
  • Developing capable teams for each profit center

RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years in retail management including multiple store operations
  • Seasonal business experience a plus
  • Analytical mindset, critical thinking skills, quantitative aptitude and experience managing budgets
  • Leadership and decision-making ability
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional people, written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional and proven selling skills
