7:00am-3:30pm Monday thru Friday weekends as needed

Summary of Position:

Maintenance Mechanic in a food processing environment.  Skills required but not limited to include basic welding, above average troubleshooting skills for both Mechanical and Electrical Principles. Must be able to comprehend mechanical and schematic drawings. Must possess good communication skills and be capable of making decisions. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preventative maintenance inspections and repair work performed; Checks the overall safety condition of processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Diagnoses and performs all required maintenance and repair work to plant equipment following PM scheduled or as otherwise indicated or needed; Removes and replaces or rebuilds major assemblies such as motors gear boxes, servos, etc., to maintain a good running condition.
• Replaces cables, chains, connectors, fuses, timers, meters, control switches, etc; Operates trucks, scrubbers, jacks, hoists, etc., in a safe manner; Inspects, tests, repairs components when necessary, by whatever means are available using hand, power tools and simple machine tools such as a drill press, power saw, wire brush, grinder, welder, multimeter; Must be able to apply the principles of mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
