Sales Design Consultant
Join Our Award-Winning Team as a Sales/Design Consultant!
A local flooring retailer is looking to expand our dynamic Design Team! Seeking a motivated, design-savvy Sales/Design Consultant to help customers create their dream spaces and exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Guide clients through product selections on our showroom floor, helping them bring their vision to life
- Provide outstanding service by selling products that meet customer needs
- Build lasting relationships with clients
- Track leads, sales activity, and progress using our online portal; submit reports to keep management updated on daily, weekly, and monthly progress
- Collaborate with Project Managers, manufacturer representatives, scheduling, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge by participating in regular team and individual training
Qualifications:
- Ability to build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional customer service
- Goal-driven with a passion for sales and achieving targets
- Self-confident with excellent listening and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to lift sample boards and stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable presenting promotions and financing options to customers
- Basic computer and math skills
- Commitment to customer satisfaction before, during, and after the sale
Experience and Licensing Requirements:
- Knowledge of the construction, real estate, or flooring industry a PLUS
- 3-5 years of experience in flooring or a related home improvement field a PLUS
- Familiarity with office software and phone systems

Schedule/Compensation:
- Position could be part-time hours OR full-time hours
- 100% in person (no hybrid or remote)
- Weekends as needed
- Starting rates range from $18- $20 per hour depending on experience as well as opportunities for bonuses for exceeding goals
