We are currently hiring a Service and Production Manager for our Reading, PA facility.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to manage our towing equipment production and service operation. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the towing equipment service, including managing technicians, scheduling repairs, maintaining production timelines, working with parts department to order parts, and ensuring excellent customer service. The Towing Equipment Service and Production Manager will play a crucial role in the success of our business by ensuring that our customer’s trucks are built beyond the customer’s expectations, and that service and repairs are completed correctly and promptly.

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and lead a team of technicians to ensure repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with Equipment Production Coordinator to schedule technicians for truck builds as jobs become ready to start
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors
  • Field customer calls and service requests providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Schedule customer repairs, maintenance, and warranty work
  • Order parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance
  • Work with Parts Department to ensure inventory of parts and supplies are on hand in time for jobs
  • Oversee the billing and invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that all repairs meet industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts usage
  • Ensure that the shop is kept clean and organized
  • Provide regular reports on the status of repairs, maintenance, and inventory to senior management

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of vocational truck equipment or heavy equipment
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and capable of learning/using job management software
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. CDL a plus.
